We are booked an apartment late at night via a bookings website, after accommodation elsewhere fell through. Took a bit of finding the 'reception' point, and nobody was around or answered the bell. Calling the phone number was the charm. Owner was out on the town buy arranged for someone to come meet us and hand over the keys despite the late hour. Person meeting us didn't speak English and we didn't speak Greek, but fortunately another call to the owner sorted out any remaining issues. The accommodation itself was basic and somewhat worn, but the balcony was nice and the beds were good, as was the breakfast brought in by the same maid as the previous evening. Five stars because of the willingness to help us out in a jam, and to give us an additional apartment when it turned out the one we were given didn't have beds for four.
