Best place to stay in the area and a very good place to eat
A great restaurant and Great staff. The lamb kleftiko is AMAZING best we've had so far, in fact we've been back for lamb kleftiko for a second time. The gourmet burger was fantastic too. Family of 4 (2 adults, 5 yr old n 3 yrs) ate and got 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 soft drinks for €35. Bargain. Good large filling meals.
Fantastic Food. absolutely stunning location.
Excellent food & atmosphere good value.
Nice and convenient location literally within spitting distance of the sea front. Lovely shade and a massive menu. Only stopped by for a brief drink and a pancake. Really friendly staff and in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Quiet when we arrived at midday.

We had three rooms at Ninos on the Beach for one week (starting from 25th of August 2012).
The crisis feels all across the island, as there are a lot of hotels, buildings and cars abandoned. Also, we were told that the tourism felt drastically over the last few years (we saw this as many restaurants were almost empty during the entire day at the end of August). The island is poorly maintained (some areas look like they were not taken care of for years), and if you got yourself alone outside a city with you car, there is a total darkness which feels really creepy. There are even some 180 turns not properly marked, which can turn out to be very dangerous especially during the night. However, there still are nice places and beaches to visit during the day, check out Barbati.
The hotel has virtually no beach, there are just some rocks, but you can still enter the sea easily on that rocks. The actual beach, made of sand is located at around 10 minutes-walk from the hotel on the access road which goes across the sea shore. This road is located between the sea and the hotel and there are some cars and buses travelling along (but we did not find that disturbing) and it finishes just where the sand beach starts.
What's outside of the hotel is very nice and well maintained (has a premium look), and the food was really great (we had breakfast and we eat at hotel's restaurant for a couple of times for dinner and lunch). So there is the restaurant, the bar, and a very large pool. Near the pool, there is plenty of grass on which there are a lot of chairs. Everything is extremely well maintained, and the shade (if you need some) is provided by umbrellas or by the trees which are located all around the area).
The hotel is run as a family business, and there is no reception (and therefore, the security level is pretty reduced). The rooms are basic (no TV) but quite OK, we had some problems (burned lights for example), but the staff was willing to help and fixed everything relatively fast.
One night a thief got in one of our rooms with the keys which were not watched by the hotel staff. Luckily, the person who was inside was woken up by the sound of the key unlocking the door, and screamed for help so the thief scared and ran away. When we told this to the family running the hotel, they promised they would keep the keys in their own room and they also ensured us that someone will be watching the hotel during all night long (a member of the family or one of the employees). On the nights that followed, we removed the power plugs from the keys (which are needed for electricity), and left the keys in the doors in order to make sure the door is impossible to be opened from the other side. Moreover, we put a baggage between the beds and the balcony window, because they could be easily opened without any problem (the locks were very loose).
I'm not telling you to avoid this hotel, I'm recommending it to you because with the exception of that event, we had a great time there (it was just an unlucky event, could happen in many places). And if you take the security measures I talked about into consideration, you are surely going to have a smooth and relaxing holiday in Corfu at Ninos.
