With its incredible range of precipitation and elevation, diversity is the hallmark of Olympic National Park. Encompassing nearly a million acres, the park protects a vast wilderness, thousands of years of human history, and several distinctly different ecosystems, including glacier-capped mountains, old-growth temperate rain forests, and over 70 miles of wild coastline. Come explore!
It is very simple - if you never been there, you have to go. This place is so beautiful.
Beautiful scenery, but the trail to climb mount Olympus was full of people and you couldn't walk five minutes without passing other hikers. Great views, but there are far better mountains to hike with fewer tourists and better scenery.
Don't forget to bring your hiking shoes if you want to go up and meet Zeus in person. There is a hiking path for the first refugee house which you can take without serious hiking equipment. The scenery is spectacular. Try the goat soup in the tavern near to the parking place.
It's a beautiful mountain, with excellent trails and welcoming refuges. Be aware the summit is not easy to get to however, scrambling over steep, sometimes loose rock is required for both routes and the map doesn't make that clear. Well worth a visit though.
Beautiful scenery! I loved this park.
You can spend days in the mountains and still not see everything. The perfect place to vist. A++
Great mountain!
Well organized refuges.
All year round accessible offering unique experiences (trekking, climbing, skiing, canyoning etc).
You better not miss it!
Great experience great work out! Be prepared for a great hike..
Some go on about the Parthenon, I would put Olympus at the top of my list. Call the refuge and trek up, 1-4 hours walk depending on your condition. Unique wildlife, varied path, simply stunning views. Mountain of the Gods.
