Stunning frescoes in an absolutely peaceful and suggestive location. A kind priest will welcome you.

A historical monastery with nice view. If you visit it ask for the old monastery

Two for the price (free) of one. Firstly you come to the 'new' Monastery which I recall was 16th C. Very cool peaceful courtyard (with WC). Priest gives you drink and biscuit, chats and sells you an Icon. Then you are directed to the 'old' Monastery which is more like 13th C. That's a further climb down and then back up to a narrow ruin built into a cliff face. Great views of Prodomo. Also very atmospheric, You think of British Health & Safety - and laugh.
