Very pleasant spot. They even had breakfast and coffee ready for us even when we were leaving about 5 am.

My son, American, as I am, recommended Hotel Mati for a 1 night stay near port of Rafina. The Mati taxi picked me up at Athens airport and for a good price, a fast ride to Hotel. Very friendly people in management. Even a fresh coffee before sunrise at 6:15. Lovely sea view from room and restaurant with kali Thea as they say in Greek. Great shower, great sleep. A real happy find near the airport and even closer to Rafina port.

Nice hotel a bit old but charmy with ocean view from most balconys and the restaurant is just beside the water. There are a outdoor cinema on the other side of the road and a couple of restaurants and bars, but not so much more in the area. Many senior citizens are staying at the hotel

I really liked this hotel. The room we had was clean and big. The poolarea and the restaurant is beautiful and has a romantic atmosphere. Its a good hotel for those who want a quiet and Relaxing weekend.

The breakfast and food in general were very good, the terrace was nice and the pool pleasant. It seemed quite clean but mot the cleanest hotel i have been.

What was very annoying was the fact that we found 20 enormous mosquitos in the room which did not allow me to sleep (and this happenned also to another room). The stuff had not thought of leaving anti-mosquito devices to help cope during the night. That gave me an impression that the place was not clean. The cleaning ladies were also screaming and talking loudly during the whole morning for three days in a row in the corridors and woke me up all mornings. People even entered the room without knocking. No respect, no silence, no privacy, a real mess. They did not understand that people came there to actually rest and payed too much for it.

It is not a four star hotel but a three star hotel. No attention to detail. U can find better ones.

Staying at Mati Hotel was honestly one of the best decisions we have taken while travelling. This was our first time in Greece and the staff was beyond helpful. They speak perfect english and did not hesitate to give us recommendations for places to visit or eat. In our particular case, we were looking for a car to rent in order to discover the south of Greece. Georgia took it upon herself to find us a business with a good price, and by the next morning we had our car. After visiting various cities/areas and staying elsewhere - we had to come back to Mati one last time before leaving Greece. We traveled as a family of 3, the rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was great. Natasha welcomed us every morning and every day and followed-up with us to make sure that nothing was missing from our Greek adventure. Me and my family loved our experience here and will be visiting again next fall. The place is in a prime location close to the beach and the neighbourhood is not hectic like the city but quite comfortable and refreshing. I truly recommend this place, you will fall in love with Greece and its people!

Wonderful family hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Constant breeze during our stay on August so refreshingly cool at the small, but lovely pool. Wonderful outdoor dining settings and service. Great views of Ebboia and Raffina channel from our upset floor room. Watch out for mosquitos even at highest floors! Rooms dated but quaint and comfortable. Also convenient to a small beach for swimming in the sea and an open air cinema right across the street. Good dining in the neighborhood and a good convenience store. Loved it! Vacation like an Athenian!

We stayed at Mati Hotel from May 1, 2015 through May 14, 2015. We had a lovely 2 week vacation. JoAnna and Natasha make you feel like you're part of their family. Elaini is very sweet on the front desk. Mario was in the dining room, bar and all over helping. They are a family of individuals to make your stay feel like it is truly home away from home.

The view from our room was fantastic. Enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from the balcony. The one day of high winds was entertaining watching the white caps on the Aegean Sea and spash on the shore line. (We live in Arizona, so watching the water is fantastic for us!).

The room is comfortable. In order to accommodate more types of clients, they put two twins together for a 'double'. We stayed at another hotel and the beds were so low we had difficulty getting in and out. But these were 'normal height'. The flooring is laminate since they are on the sea and many bring in dirt from the ocean area. It is a rocky coast line. Not the fine sand we see on the Florida coasts. Water was warm, but since so rocky, didn't try walking into it!

The Ancient Archoelogical sites are within a 1.5 to 2 hr drive from the hotel. We used my cell phone for directions and managed to get lost only a 'few' times. Rent a car using Diesel rather than gas. Better economy and much better prices using the Euro. Tried Hertz rental and their cars and service were not the best. Went to Enterprise and their car was fantastic (SKODA, we don't have them in the US). Great ride & easy to use on the tiny streets, but seats 4 easily with a large trunk! They will also permit you to drive in Greece using your US drivers license (but I had an International one from AAA just in case). They do charge more if more than 1 driver.

Natasha gave us ideas of where to go. We went to Delphi to see the Old City. Lots of steps to get up to them, but worth it! There is a lovely museum there, as well. Went to Athens (crazy drivers) but only place to get the 'chanchi' type souveniers I wanted for my GrandchildrenMonostraki area. Many like the Platka area, but that is the fancier shops. There are outlets, as well, but they have NOTHING that is a souvenier type item to bring home. Natasha and Joanna suggested we take the train (Metro) into Athens (even the Greeks don't drive in Athens!). If you pay attention to the signs, you should be OK. We managed to get lost only 1 time using them. All day pass is 4 Euro each. Parking at the station is a challenge, but you can find it for about 5 Euro a day. If you do venture into Athens driving, there are garages for about 9-18 Euro, but get prices up front!

We overpaid one Taxishould have been 3.5 Euro for the short ride.he charged 13. Get prices up front, if you need a taxi.

To get the Hotel Mati from the airport, there is a back road that is a LOT shorter than the Toll Road. If you ask the Hotel to arrange the driver for you, it is about 30 Euro one way. GPS will take you the back roads, too!

Enjoy your Holiday at this lovely Hotel. Very safe. Happy people work here and do their best to help you have a terrific time in Greece. LOVE them very much!!!

Greece roads are tiny in the villages, so rent a small car, but not a midget. (We had a Suzuki Miniawful carfor the first 3 days). The Skoda was a nice car to rent. Not expensive and they don't put a huge hold on your credit card. I paid extra for the full coverage to not worry about anything. Worth the peace of mind!

Would like about a 4.5 star rating because of the flooring and separate beds, but comfortable. Small refrigerator helps to keep water and soda cold. Nearby groceries for cheese & bread. Try the bakeries. Yummy!
