Reasonably clean hotel with spacious room. Location is in the center of town where you can get some Asian food. Not very safe to walk around the neigbourhood at night.

Pluses:
Good location - 5 min from Omonia metro and from all the vibrant small streets of Athens center;
Nice staff;
Comfortable beds;
Minuses:
The hotel street and the few around it are overrun with refugee type people. They can stare at you, or yield something at you. Some of them are drunk, or doing drugs on the pavement, or just sitting there. The streets after them look like a toilet. It is not pleasant and safe, especially at night time. However we do not have problems during our 5 nights stay;
Hotel Marina gets 5 star for bad soundproofing. We heard everything from the surrounding rooms, and we got the bonus of partying neighbors.. not very good for the night sleep. Bring earplugs;
Conclusion:
Hotel is OK and has very good location. The refugee type people are also OK. However, the poor soundproofing and the small and old shower are bringing my rate to 2 star only. Next time we will look for alternative due these reasons.response / report this review -

Clean, good location especially if you like middle eastern food. Walking distance to train station. Good connections to airport and ferry port

Hotel is great, the staff are polite and highly professional. But the ubication is horrible. The neighborhood is packed with immigrants waiting to pick your pockets. The neighboring building is in ruins and i think some of the immigrants live there. The room was clean and in excellent condition.

Three stars well deserved. Key-card locks, a TV, a safe and an own bath. And the breakfast tastes great.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. the staff are friendly and helpful. breakfast is good (especially the Yogurt). the area doesn't feel safe' especially during night.

We enjoyed our stay at Marina Hotel Athens . The hotel is within walking distance from the Omonia metro station
The hotel is well maintained and clean. The rooms (deluxe rooms) were comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a safe box , a fridge , LCD T.V and an air conditioner. WiFi is free in the rooms
The buffet breakfast is good. The hotel staff is incredibly nice.

Nice and helpful staff! We stayed for 5 nights and were really happy. The area might not be the best, but the price makes up for that.

Excellent option for Athens. Very clean and comfortable, quite and close to the main atractions.The staff is very very kind and helpful.The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are well dotated and large. The bathroom is spacoius and all is functional. We'll return to them.

Newly decorated room and confortable bed. Helpful and smiling staff. But not enough tables for breakfast and poor sound insulation between rooms.
