+ Excellent breakfast, lovely location in the castle, reasonable price, daily cleaning service.
- The room we were given (number 2) was tiny and it smelt mould! Also the receptionists (I guess they were the owners too) were indifferent and very unfriendly in contrast to the stuff working at the buffet who were very welcoming! If we had known this from the very beginning we would have chosen to pay more and have stayed in a more hospitable environment.response / report this review -

Dream-come-true Boutique Hotel. Monemvasia and especially this hotel was our highlight in Greece. The rooms are so beautiful and the view was stunning, even though we had bad weather. Breakfast was gorgious!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this phenomenal boutique hotel. The rooms are like a cozy Hobbit house in a Medieval wonderland straight out of a fairy tale. Despite the ancient architecture, the room is clean and modern, with excellent wifi and more English television channels than we have seen anywhere else in Greece (not that you want to waste your time in Monemvasia surfing the web or watching TV). Our room also had a delightful little private terrace surrounded by flowers. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff was wonderful. They even refunded us €30 after we stupidly ate breakfast at the unrelated "Malvasia Cafe" on our first night, thinking that was our included breakfast. It would be a shame to come to Monemvasia and not experience staying inside of the city. Staying here is not a choice you will regret.

Simply excellent. Stayed here for one night- attentive staff, clean rooms some half built into the cliff face. Stone arches. It find itself on the not so busy part of town with an unparalleled aperitive terrace. They also give good advice on your travel plans and how to make the most of your trip in the town and elsewhere in the Peloponnese.

We stayed at the Malvasia Traditional Hotel for 2 romantic nights in Monemvasia. The breakfast and service were top notch and the rooms and views were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Very traditional place inside the castle. We are personally enjoy the time that we spend here. The rooms are clean and nice! Breakfast is delicious of Greek meals. WiFi is not so fast, but keep in mind- you in the island) Parking is a bit challenging, but it's related more about castle not about hotel.

Room we booked had perfect sea views from all angles. Breakfast is top notch with large variety to choose from. Location is close to everything cafe/ restaurants etc. Room option we booked had a lovely fire place.

Nice rooms. Perfect breakfast with many choices. There is a beautiful cafe near the hotel too. Just don't book the budget room. It's too small and without view.
