Beautiful modern hotel in great location 5 minutes walk from Avithos Beach
Idillic location and brilliant design are made perfect by helpful and genuine staff. I'm tempted to say bad things just to keep the place a secret.
A fantastic first stop in Kefalonia. Very easy to reach from the airport, lovely friendly staff who go above and beyond to help you out, fabulous breakfast and the architecture is stunning. Location is quiet, unspoiled and very laid back. Check out the roof terrace at night if you're into stargazing!
We were given a first-floor room, which we weren't aware of at the time. It had plenty of concrete, which added to the hotel's "industrial style" flair. Not like the pretty website photos, though. The staff were friendly enough and the common space was airy. But we had a rat visitor, and though we convinced him to leave our room by leaving a snack outside the patio door, it wasn't exactly a restful night. The hotel staff didn't seem fazed when we told them about it. Luckily we had amazing company in each other, and it was thus a fantastic vacation. The island itself is so very lovely.
My partner and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Leviatho Hotel. We were greeted by the charming Maria and served fresh orange juice which was a nice touch. The view out to the ocean is stunning and I can see how guests could be happy spending the day within the grounds. The architecture of the buildings are beautifully modern with their cool concrete aesthetic. We stayed in a superior garden suite and although we didn't see the other rooms we very pleased with it. The room had high vaulted ceilings, modern bathroom with rain shower shower and was very spacious. We considered booking the seaview but were happy looking out onto our mini garden with terrace to sit. It was a very hot week and even on the ground floor we didn't open the curtains as to keep the room cool so a view didn't seem important to the experience. The grounds were well maintained with gorgeous planting throughout as well as vegetables they serve in the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and offered something for everyone. It included many homemade items and the service was warm and helpful. We ate dinner there twice and would highly recommend it as the cuisine was of a very high caliber. We would have eaten there more if there were more vegetarian options but they did whip together a delightful risotto for me. Friday night is jazz night and we were treated to a very talented trio of musicians that made for a magical experience. The staff went out of their way during our stay and we left feeling we would certainly return. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy in their choice to stay at the Leviatho.
Great place, great people. Chef is amazing. Food is delicious. Stuff very helpful.
When we arrived, the receptionist was very cold, shouted at us several time because the car was not parked properly (there weren't any sign on how to park the car). We expected a porter to carry the luggages to our room, but this "4 star hotel" hasn't one and therefore no one helped us.
The room is very big, this is the only positive note. It looks very bare and all the furniture are very bare as well. BUT the coffee table was broken, there were two dead spiders, there were cigarettes butts into the window locker, the fence was rusted, the bathroom was not very clean, the shower and the sink were full of limescale.
The breakfast, that they claim to be HOMEMADE, is a shame: the croissants are frozen, the presentation is very impersonal. The waiters didn't clean the tables so you had to find a free table or clean it by yourself. Also the yogurt finished two times and, when we asked, they refused to give us a portion because they said breakfast time was over. Nevertheless they gave the yogurt to another customer, which arrived 15 minutes after us.
Magnificent location, excellent staff and very special character.
