It was ok cuz Greece is Amazing but the Airports of Greece need more upgrades because it is not Greece's fault of Economic Crisis, It is Refugees Fault

The only real problem with this airport is the check in chaos at the international departures when there are many flights departing almost at the same time. Beside that is clean, easy accessible from Corfu Town, friendly stuffed, it has cheap and nearby parking. Other problems such as old information screens are really minor. The airport is sold to the German company FRAPORT and will be operated by them from summer 2017 like other 13 Greek Airports due to the economical situation in Greece.

Corfu Airport. The gateway to Corfu- sadly, its a gate that seems to open and close VERY slowly and creeks a lot!
Its small, very busy, too small, very crowded, did I mention size? It's got 1 duty duty free shop, 1 place to eat air-side, 1 news agent, 4 carousels to collect baggage from.
It serves its purpose, but it's a massive ball-ache!response / report this review -

I write this from my sickbed where I have languished since returning home from a wonderful 5 star hotel in Corfu. The whole experience was blighted by conditions in the airport.Due to adverse weather conditions the flights were delayed, consequently I had a 5 hour sit on the floor- not funny when you are 67. The passengers were packed in to a hot, airless 'lounge' with huge queues for bottles of warm water and' food ' that was fast running out. I was thankful that it was not high season and possibly warmer. Bad experience.

I am very surprised with the reviews. In my opinion it`s one of the best organised airports I used. Maybe it`s old, maybe it doesn`t look like a work of art, but the staff is doing a very good job. Definitely a better airport than Athens or Thessaloniki.
