Koukos is an open air bar located inside a hairpin on the road descending from Chora to Kapsali on Kythera island. It's unique location offers spectacular views of Kapsali Bay and the islet of Chytra and (as you can see in our profile picture) of the Venetian Castle of Chora. We understand that you might assume that the romantic couple depicted were listening to some low key love song at the time the picture was taken.
Nope.
Koukos has established its good name playing music with a definite "electric" feel, thus providing an interesting and energized soundtrack to the stunning view. Another thing you may find hard to believe is the massive variety of alcoholic drinks and labels this little bar stocks. And for those hot greek summer nights, nothing can beat the natural air conditioning our 18 pine trees provide. Talk about "cool" huh?
We are within walking distance from Chora and Kapsali, but if you insist on using your car or bike Koukos has its very own parking space.
