Expensive but attentive service. Food excellent. Free minibus into town at regular intervals throughout the day. Beautiful panoramic views.

We have just come from there .and I already miss it . The most relaxing experience we had ever had . No noise , no cars , not many people, gourgeous views, good food and what to say about some people working there good advise , frienship and kindness nice and helpful Saki with his van (up and down ).. cute Mike in the morning ( Kalimera ) , and not only wonderful but also useful Anna thanks a lot for all you greatl info and kindness. We hope to come back soon.

Don't normally do reviews as we all have different expectations but felt we had to in this case.Arrived on1st July for one week. Went to room which had no handle on patio doors,just a small bolt fasten. Room was dirty and so was bedding. Shower head disgusting complained and problem improved.My wife is a vegetarian and the so called cordon bleu chef could only come up with paste nearly every evening.Asked for a change could she have vegetable stir fry few vegetables came in noodles. Half way through the dish my wife found piece of plastic bag in the middle of the food. Most of the staff were nice and polite but not enough of them at evening meal times and it did not help the mood when the owner who mostly sat around without a care in the world then decided to reduce a member of staff to tears in front of guests.The view from the pool area/ dining area is second to none and this hotel could be made into a 5 star if the rooms and the food were vastly improved and the owner cared that the guests were reasonably happy.We loved the island and the people and will go back but definitely not to the very substandard hotel.Four other couples who were in the hotel at the same time were o f the same opinion to us.

The view over the sea is stunning and that is almost the only reason to go to Kivo.
The restaurant had a wannabe posh concept which failed to manifest. Terrible loud music from the 80ties. The one waiter working was stressed out, the other waiters were unattentive. Sushi was uninspiring. Bread was day-old and dry as chips. The seabass with herbs, however, was delish.
Better management of this place could probably turn it into a pearl.response / report this review -

Hi everyone.
We have recently been for a week to Kivo hotel, and we would like to share our experience with anybody who is looking for relaxing enjoyable friendly hotel.
Since day one we been very nicely welcomed. Reception, lobby area very stylish with the most amazing views. About views, whole hotel been build to faced the most incredible views of the sea and little islands. Breakfast room once again views are breath taking, food very tasty, mixed of Greek and more European cousin. Tasty, fresh, great choice.
Rooms, well some people can complain, we had a little bit of mould in bathroom, but towels changed everyday, rooms cleaned everyday, There might be few insects, but this comes with warm country's, however, cleaning team been spraying and trying to improve any inconvenience for their guests. All in all, rooms are comfortable and all of them have balcony with once again stuffing views.
Stuff externally friendly, caring people, who trying their hardest to make your holiday a time to remember.
Town center about 20 minutes walk, is a bit hilly, but hotel is offering transfer few times a day there and back.
You can also hire a quad bike which is great fun. Cost about €25 per day.
We have been on a fishing trip, which was booked by hotel, and this was the most amazing trip we could wish for. We been shown how to fish and then we have fished for few hours and then we went to Lalaria beach which is place we won't ever forget.
Skiathos as a island very lovely place, water, people just no doubts the most relaxing time we ever had.
We both would very happily come back to Kivo, and would like to thank all stuff for their hospitality, mainly big thanks to our lovely driver Stephan, our personnel lady Ana, and Christoph our waiter. Thank you and take care of your selfs.

The views are fabulous all the staff couldn't of been nicer Stesanos and Katenna went out of their way to make our holiday special we will be returning
