Basic hotel, that needs a serious revamp, the pool area is very nice and along with its proximity to the centre of Lefkada makes it attractive, normal star rate should be 2 stars my extra 3rd star was given due to the the location and pool

To my opinion this is a 3 star hotel. Rooms are OK. Breakfast very basic. Nice staff. Do not forget to bring your own towels for the pool or sea ;-)

If you are looking for a hostel, this is the place.
If you like a small bed and an old mattress, this is the place.
If you like to hold the shower stall when you shower, this is the place.
If you like the smell of sewage, this is the place.
If you like that you don't have wifi in the room, this is the place.
If you like to hear what's going on in the room next to you, this is the place.
If you like to hear doors slamming all day because that's how you close the door from outside, friends this is the place!
I can really go on, but I think you got the point.
I know it's a little tough, but if I can keep someone from thinking about whether or not to go there, make the right decision to make their vacation better, I will.
Make no mistake, those who looking for a simple place this is it, but understand that its not a 4 star hotel but an upgraded hostel.
The place has potential but unfortunately is not maintained and feels that there is no thought invested for the comfort of guests.
The positive review?
The staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful in everything.
The hotel is located on the harbor in Lefkada Town and close to all restaurants and boardwalk, you ask if it covers the rest? You decide.
Anyway for a vacation in a more tranquil atmosphere strongly recommends looking for accommodation in Nidri, a lovely beach town.
I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but maybe it will wake up those who need it.

Very friendly staff. Good price to quality relation. We booked direct on short notice and got an upgrade when we arrived. It is perhaps best described as dated modern. The location is excellent.

A superb hotel in Lefkada. Close to center and shops, barsand restaurants. Very nice staff. Big rooms. Food at hotel restarant is good. The internet is present but is not ok for this hotel. There is also a very nice pool with bar.

We don't recommended. We had ants in our room. No internet in rooms. The telephone doesn't work. The food was bad. The service nonexistent. Avoid at any cost! Basically it is a 2 star hotel with high prices!

Comfortable and very clean hotel. A foot away from bars, shopping malls, car rental and grocery store. The rooms are spacious and have personal bathroom, wardrobes, air conditioning system, mini fridge, WiFi (connectivity is a bit bumpy).

Stayed there for 2 nights with my wife, 7 year old and 8 month old. Hotel was well recommended from people who are from
Lefkada.

The good

Very well located for central lefkada and the nice restaurants and bars on the waterfront.

Alex the manager was simply outstanding. A friendly face who greets you, looks after your needs and just a very nice guy. Despite the issues below I am still positive about the place because of how nice Alex was.

The breakfast was good

The pool was great and respite from the heat. Very good for little kids with shallow section

It was relatively easy to park close by as long as you follow the Greek parking conventions and don't worry about no parking signs!!

THE BAD

The air con did not work in the first room so they had to move us to another room smaller room at 1am (where it also did not work) then another room where it sort of worked. I had to sleep on the floor the first night as they were full. The air con was not much better in the second room either. We moved back to our original room and the air con was so so. Air con in a small room in the middle of summer in Greece with 4 people is a big deal so they really really need to sort this out.

I was surprised that it was noted by one of the reviewers below as 5 *. It is not that level but looking at the price you would not expect 5 *. It is well located, with a good pool and basic rooms in a busy island.

we went this summer with my family at ionion star hotel lefkada we had a very beautiful big room with sea view . i liked so much the pool and the housekeeping of the hotel. everything so clean.. the restaurant also is very good at good prices. Lefkada as an island is a perfect place for vacations especially with families.

Great location, great accommodations and great prices. Very kid friendly and the staff made you feel very welcome, learning you and your families names was a nice touch. The pool has a large shallow end that makes it great for the kids and the outdoor bar helps keep the parents busy :) We had 1 problem while we were there and that was with the air conditioner not working in our room. We called the front desk and they changed our room immediately while they fixed the problem. We will be going again this summer. If you have never been to Lefkas you should go and if you go the best place to stay is the Ionian Star!.
