All Hotel staff were professional, courteous, and supportive with any issues. Gorgeous place, cozy warm atmosphere of this lovely hotel and beautiful beach make the time being there very special and unforgettable. Hope to be back one day:)
50 metres from the beach, with a friendly atmosphere and balcony view for almost everyone, this is a good, cost-effective choice for those visiting Corfu. The good news is that it is NOT a mega-concrete complex with hundreds of poolside towel-placing holidaymakers vying for pole position. Getting to Glyfada is admittedly a bit of a challenge, and the roads are poor. But the journey is worthwhile and the hotel is great.
Rather good hotel with great sea view and tasty breakfast. But what is special and unbelievably - restoran nearby with sea view, transparent. Waiters are so polite and can give an advise what is better for you, incredibly delicious, very big portions!the most tasty restoran all over Corfu, luxury! But price like everywhere. We were all over the moon!!! You should go there as much as you can and you will spend there unforgatble moments! But we were disappointed by excursion. Paxi antipaxy. They Cheat us a lot. All the day we spend on the board, and neither beach with with sand, no cave, nothing!!! For big money, more expensive then in another place, 30 min away by car.
Booked Aug 31 2017 at the last minute having tried to get Moraitika where we stayed before. As stated in many other reviews the Hotel is simple and clean with a very friendly staff. Sheets and towels changed and rooms cleaned every single day by a lovely lady. Hotel is 50m from the beach with ample parking around it. We tried the restaurant the first day we arrived and had a great pizza special €15.30 and two beers. We didn't quite get through the 28cm pizza! Glyfada has only about 3 tavernas in all and the bit of beach we sampled first was in front of the hotel where my wife was nervous. I thought that we had made a mistake not getting Moraitika. We tried the hotel restaurant again that first evening and were not disappointed. Next day we walked further down the beach towards the Louis Grande hotel and found a perfect spot for swimming. Given that we did not feel the need to try any other restaurant and found that the other 90% of the beach was perfect for both the nervous paddler and me who likes some wave action we forgot all about Moraitika. Don't be fooled into thinking that while the nearest village (Pelekas) is just 50 mins (4.2km) walk away it could be interesting to visit there some evenings. Walking uphill along switch-back roads in 29C temperatures and returning in pitch black later on is not an option. The Glyfada traders should really pay attention to specific small areas where litter is a problem. Where are the dustbins? Visitors coming to Glyfada are probably accustomed to the principle of the litter fine and would use bins if provided.
Back to the hotel, just a few areas that could make it really excellent
1. In Ireland and England we place more emphasis on breakfast cereal than the Greeks do so I would like to see the hotel offer something more than just cornflakes and choco something. How about some muesli?
2. Take the breakfast cereal back into the kitchen during the day.
3. I know the locals ignore the wasps which are a Corfu-wide issue but they drive the visitors crazy. There must be some ways of minimising the issue.
4. Ground-floor rooms do not have a sea view because of the lemon trees.
Overall it is on the list for a return visit.
Good location across from the beach. Excellent customer service friendly helpful. Good breakfast. Room a little tied need updating but very clean.
We only have superlative words about hotel services. All staff are professional and unexpectedly friendly. Cleaning is exemplary. Breakfast is very generous and varied. We had an accommodation that made our holiday really enjoyable.
Hotel is about 3.5 stars, detached restaurant is the only restaurant at Glyfada worth eating at. The meals are of a good quality whilst not being traditional. A little pricey, but they have the market to themselves. Worthy of a visit for two days maximum.
Clean, calm hotel in one of the best locations in Corfu. I really liked the hospitality and warmth of their staff. The breakfast is very well done too.
Great place to enjoy and relax at fare price, clean rooms, friendly staff, this my 2nd times visited and many of their costumers as well.
The location of the hotel is very good given the fact that in 2 mins you are at the beach which is a nice sandy, long one with sun beds and umbrellas.
As a location on the island, geographically speaking, is ok, but you you will need at least 20-25 mins by car to reach other locations like Agios Gordios, Corfu Town and so on. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom although a bit small has everything you need. You get a fridge, A/C and a beautiful view of the beach/sea.
The breakfast is decent and it's the same every day. It was ok, decent amount of options.
Glyfada, as others have said is 'dead' at 10PM, everything closes, but you can still go to Pelekas which is at 7-10 mins by car. You can still eat at 23:30 or stay at drinks until later.
I recommend this place if you rent a car or any other transportation and it's easy for you to move around the island.
Excellent position
beautiful beach
mediocre restaurant
sad rooms , small and old
Bathroom redone ( smelly )
Poor breakfast and inadequate
Can not eat anything at the hotel
constant traffic
The garbage containers are close to the Hotel
and it is therefore not emptied. From the terraces of the rooms you feel bad smell .
Reception poor and inadequate
positive note, the staff of the cleaning ladies are
very friendly and good .
Not recommend
I would not go back
Long sandy beach, good for children. Waves are normal here. There are many sunbeds. Don't go hungry here because there is no cheap and good food. Nothing special and too crowded.
