Why the hotel is nice there is many faults that unless your an elderly couple you will not enjoy.

Nothing to do. There is nothing in this resort. No entertainment no outings nothing. You will spend your whole holiday stuck by a pool that you physically can't use due to the fact the water is colder than the beer. So unless you plan to get hypothermia your out of luck.

Stray dogs and cats can be found every where and there is not real control to stop them. This can be scary to kids or people who don't like dogs especially.

Food why tasting ok leaves a lot to be desired and is no different than Spain. Also variation is next to none so you will be eating the same food all day.

There is no local activities or places to visit with the nearest place being a small town that will cost you 24-26 euro a round trip to visit.

Aircon being switched to heating with no control was a main issue for us. We came back from dinner to turn the air con on just to notice the room was getting hoter not cooler. When we reported we were told sadly a few guests felt cold so all air cons now blow hot air. This is ridiculous and aircon should be capable of both hot and cold or just cold. Damn we are in Greece not the alps.

Cleaning of rooms were lacking and many times we returned to our room to find the same stains on the floor or table from drinks.

Private pools that are not private. A big gripe of mine was how we ordered a private pool only to find that every one else with a private pool can see you. There is no proper divider meaning you can see inside other people's room and pools from your own.

Lighting is also a big issue. Many rooms feel dark and your own room will have no main lighting just small lamps and a few bathroom lights blocked by a wall to your sleeping area. This honestly is dangerous with the main walkway to our room have a large step that you can't even see properly.

Kids are also not really thought of. No food really for children. Only wine glasses for cups. No entertainment for children even though we were assured when ringing there would be activities for our daughter when we arrived.

Overall unless you just want to sit beside a pool relaxing all day don't go.

Let's begin with the positives - staff. Most of the staff is great. Kudos to staff in restaurant that even when the place is full of people they try very hard to make sure your experience is good. They even tried to entertain my son.
While we're at restaurant - food is ok. I wasn't mind blown, but usually found something eatable. However sometime's we'd have to wait a long time for a refill of most popular items on the menu. Another negative - no pack lunches. For a tourist region hotel, with day trips that start early being unable to order a pack lunch/breakfast a day earlier is a big negative.
Pools. There's 3 pools to choose from, one right next to restaurant and bar, and two below. They're ok, look nice in the evening with blue lights on. Can be crowded at times, and it doesn't help that some of the group exercises are in one of the pools. At one stage the whole swimming pool was occupied by 2 groups playing water polo.
I said there's 3 pools even thought there's a fourth one, for kids. Never seen a single person using, and there's a reason for that - it's located under big tree, shadow of the tree blocks the sun for most of the day. Because of that water is not heated by sun and is simply too cold.
Rooms are not worth mentioning - they're more or less 3 star standard, not 5 star. Cleanliness is also not great, we've seen some items under the bed left from previous guests. Also - room was equipped with 2 single beds instead of one king size, and the staff couldn't properly merge them. In some hotels the staff manages to merge both beds in a way that you almost don't feel like it's separate beds. This was not the case, and it's a huge minus for the hotel.
Drinks from the all inclusive offer well let's not dwell on that. Cheapest kind you can find.
Family activities - there's kids club with activities for French kids, but you can use it. However, it's located outside, with no air con in the room making it nearly unusable on hot days. Playground should be razed - all the toys there are falling apart and can be dangerous for the kids.
Wi-fi is there, but very slow and at times not available. If you want to watch something with your kids, better download it first at home.
Beach is "ok" but bear in mind the water approach and seabed are made of pebbles.
There's also nothing to see around the hotel, you can see the whole are is underinvested.

Hotel looks very nice and comfortable same as rooms, pools are clear and tidy, staff in hotel and by the pools and sea is friendly and kind. Food is tasty, however everyday almost the same. Sea entry is mix of sand and small rocks. There are missing some sea attractions.

Dion Palace has a very loq quality of room (dirty and small) and attitude of managers.
The only good thing is the activities they make with children.
