We stayed at the Alas Resort & Spa in October and after staying there we wished we had a few more days at our disposal to enjoy the experience at the fullest.
This hotel is a wonderful place located in an extraordinary location. We had a car so we were very happy with the location and with the many parking spaces in front of the hotel as well as inside the hotel's premises for extra safety! We travel a lot by car and find this facility quite rarely, so we appreciate it even more when we find it.
This hotel has - in certain domains - even 5 star facilities and services. The customer service is one of the best that I have ever encountered in my travels, and I travel very much. The check-in was the perfect and most professional check-in I have ever seen, and how it should be everywhere, but unfortunately it's not. Namely, the lady from the reception walked us all the way to our door in order to show us our room and did NOT simply hand us in our keys, as is usually the case in the vast majority of hotels, sadly even 4 or 5 stars. She was professional enough to care to ask if it was our first time in the area, where we come from, and how our trip was. Being a hospitality professional myself, I know perfectly well that this is exactly the customer relations you need if you want to thrive and make your guests holiday a memorable one.
The staff of the restaurant were also real professionals. They met the quite difficult line of being warm, kind and cheerful, but at the same time professional and efficient when performing their skills. We traveled with our 2 years old son, who made their work a bit hard as he was always running around, however never did they lose their patience or speak an angry word to him. This is greatly appreciated, especially when you are a parent.
The lady that attended me in the spa, was one of the most skilled in massage that I have ever come across. I own a beauty and wellness business myself, and therefore I do often massages and I have a quite clear idea of excellent, average or poorly skilled massage professionals. That lady had the ideal combination between relaxing me but also applying pressure when needed, and she knew exactly where to focus. This, offered with fine manners and a smile.
We booked our stay on half board pension and this might have been the best half board we have tried. Dinner was a-la carte, which is really the best for people who look for higher standards of quality rather than quantity. The menu was simple, comprehensive, and based on many Greek and local products and dishes. In my opinion, this is how half board should be. Freshly cooked, few options, but all of them of excellent standards. Let me get more precise: they use real olive oil, which is expensive and usually it is avoided in most hotel's buffets. They use real honey and not honey sirup, which is usually the cheap and easy solution. The dinner plates contain fine and pricey ingredients such as truffle and gorgonzola cheese, which offers to the guests a more gourmet dining experience rather than the standard buffet massive style.
The swimming pool is not massive but is very clean. The whole property when we visited was spotless clean. Owning and running a hotel myself, I know from the inside how difficult it is to coordinate every little detail in the daily operations of a hotel and to meet your guests
expectations. To put it in a different way, it is difficult to avoid guests complaints, and I believe that this business has managed this difficult goal because their management is customer-oriented. The owners or management has realised that the staff is the soul and mirror of any business, and they have achieved to find some of the best professionals in each sector, which is extremely difficult in hotels, as the jobs are seasonal.
To conclude, I would like to thank all of the team for our excellent stay, and also congratulate the management for the high level of professionalism and for showing in our industry good practices.response / report this review -

A very nice Hotel with amazing sea view.
Comfortable and clean rooms, especially the mattress is superb! Friendly and helpful staff.
Very good food and breakfast with local fresh eggs and sweets!

I have a Greek friend who strongly advised me about this hotel and spa. Our flight was from London to Athens then we drove almost 4 hours to get there. You will not regret and it's worth every minute as this place is magical! Staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean, great restaurant, spa, gym, ecc If you are looking to relax and enjoy a wonderful time, this is it!

Όμορφο και καλόγουστο ξενοδοχείο με μικρή παραλία κατω απο αυτό. Η καλύτερη στιγμή της ημέρας είναι να κάτσεις στους εξωτερικούς καναπέδες και να απολαύσεις το ηλιοβασίλεμα.!
