  My best childhood memories and the friends I made there at their magical summer camp facilities at in Agios Nikolaos of Chalkidiki come from the YMCA in Greece (Χ.Α.Ν.Θ.). Those years I spent my summers there as a kid and as a teenager not only did they make me a better athlete (picked up tennis and table tennis for life there while I got introduced to volleyball, handball and basketball, learned how to swim well, also diving, sailing, surfing and hiking) but also socialized me giving me people skills, by exploring friendship and bonding with peers. I give my YMCA teen years credit for having built my character and definitely having morphed part of the man I am today. Or should I rather say part of the perpetual kid in me which never grew up 🤓
