  The church was first built on Papafi Street, on the opposite side of its current location, closer to Cleanthous, next to a plane tree. The next church of Agios Fanourios (in its current location) was built in 1927 and was a wooden shack. The current church is a new building erected on the old church in 1993. There are two external chapels, one erected in 1981 "in honor of all the Saints shining in Thessaloniki", while the other in honor of Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia.
