Visited here for their Sunday brunch buffet which runs from midday to 3pm. Tranquil and cool venue surrounded by fern trees giving the feel of being in a jungle. Easy background music playing whilst enjoying the buffet items. All tasted good but must admit that the temperature of the warm items was lacking in heat despite being served in hot trays. Popular place for Sunday brunch, but envious of my daughter and her family that were enjoying a bountious feast by comparison at a location in Dubai at the same time!🤣

Great location and vibe, but everything else was below average. Meat was overcooked, portions small, prices way too high for such poor product. Sunday brunch has a bounty of options, but it's also just another average buffet. Wifi is available though, with the purchase of a food or drink item. Overall, if you want an upscale, American/Euro option, try another place.

Nice western style "fancy restaurant", but the food isn't really worth the price in my opinion. The brunch wasn't great - just a lot of pasta salads. Dinner was better, but pretty overpriced.

One of my favorite restaurants in Banjul. Food is fantastic and an impressively extensive menu for a relatively small restaurant. Cocktails are also pretty good.

I have the best Oxtail for my lunch that ever have before and the friendly Owner told me even the dinner with music + candle light is even better! Looking forward to have.. . . . not only dinner, but most of my meal when visit Banjul because the price is reasonable as well.

A worthy holder of the tripadvisor title for the best restaurant in the Gambia. I went for the Sunday brunch (11.30 till 1500) which was a very reasonably priced 403 Dalasi (£8.00ish). The food was excellent with a good range of savoury options as well as an array of puddings to satiate any sweet tooth.

The decor is well thought out and the open veranda design gives an excellent feeling of openness and relaxation that makes for a superb atmosphere in which to wine (there is wine too!) and dine with your friends. On the Sunday I went there was also an excellent live band playing Malian style music which only added to the atmosphere.

All in all I would highly recommend the butchers!

The best brunch buffet in Gambia. Hands down. You'll have something new every time. The owners are friendly and the local music is consistently perfect. We always splurge here when we're hungover.

I have been a regular at The Butcher Shop from the first day the doors were opened, in 1993.
Every visit is an adventure for my taste buds. As a restauranteur myself, I tend to be fussy with my food, so my first choice of where to eat, has always been The Butcher Shop.
With the combination of delicious food, great ambience, and friendly management and staff I am hooked !

Great service. The food here that we ate was the best that we had whilst in The Gambia and we were staying at a local 5* hotel with restaurant. Lovely fresh food and the steak out of this world. The chef was a young Gambian woman. Can't recommend highly enough.
