  The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Established in Gambia in 1961. Missionary works commenced since early 1921.  Baitul Salam Mosque in Talingding, Gambia is the largest Mosque in Gambia. It has the capacity for around 5000 worshippers. The first Gambian convert was  Sidi Mucktar Mydara in 1967 from Georgetown
