It is classified as 1A1 ICE-A according to Det Norske Veritas standards. And is well equipped as a exploration vessel with winches, cooling/frost romms and Labatorium.
It has a capasity of 12 guests/scientist including crew. And large tanks for both fuel and water for long expeditions.
In 2014 and early 2015 it has gone threw an extencive refurbishmen both mechanical and technical to suit any requirements according to Det Norske Veritas.
