Word on the street is the sunborn has been sold and it is off to San Diego in southern California some time in the near future. GOOD I think it is an eyesaw and I will celebrate with champagne when it goes away.

Try my luck at the casino, no wins for me but I very much enjoyed this experience and staff made me laugh a lot, they are fun and that is how it should be in a casino.

Haven't stayed here yet but had a meal and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, i dont drink alcohol but this was no problem for the young gentleman serving me as he made me a mocktail to enjoy the festivities with the rest of the party. The setting is beautiful and clean and is also child friendly, although it is overcrowded with children.

The Casino on the Sunborn has been virtually empty every time I have been there. I am not surprised as the service is terrible. My wife and I ordered a smoked salmon wrap which took over 45 mins to arrive, despite three reminders. Don't go if you are hungry. No reason given, no apology and not even a smile.
Went back today to try again as after midnight no where else is open. Again empty gaming tables, but at least the food came quickly. Unfortunately the bar man was busy and eventually when free was very surly when I ordered just a chicken wrap off the highly promoted special deal.
He then said he does not accept orders for the special at the bar and I had to go the cashier first, but nowhere does it say this.
But worse to come. The Special Deal appears to give you cash back in the form of gaming chips if you buy a meal. But it's a misrepresentation. What they don't tell you is the gaming chips are worthless, because if you win, they deduct the value of the gaming chips from your winnings.
Don't go, don't get suckered by the "free" gaming chips. If you lose. you lose and if you win you lose.
The lights are low but not as low as their low tricks. The carpets are thick, but not as thick as me who fell for their worthless and meaningless promotion.
Be warned!
And yes I did take it up with them, but they refused to repay the money deducted.

Amazing place to stay but only for a few days at most. Gibraltar is just fantastic but you can see everything in one day. The monkeys are enlisted in the army and have their own number!
