The recreational quadrangle provides a casual atmosphere amidst the rather stiff scholastic atmosphere around the Balme Library. Inaugurated by Dr. J. A. Kuffour, a former president of the republic. It has a fountain and a Neatly trimmed lands to make it a site for photo shoots after weddings and the like. It sits directly behind the Balme library and in front of the university of Ghana business school and chemistry department. It has lanes within it for passers by
