A very busy market place mostly on Mondays and Thursdays. All kinds of stuff at very affordable prices.

Mandela park sits on a piece of land initially "discovered" by the church of Pentecost. It served as grounds for the church's gospel crusades and conventions. Over time ownership of the park has moved into the hands of the police department at Ashaiman; this has been strongly enforced with fence walls erected round the entire landscape. There are banks and shops close to the park.

Good for large social including political gatherings, has good security, since it has a police station near by.

Mandela Park was an open place for all sort of programs and occasions, but now, it has been fence and no occasions have been held there since.
