Covid Centre so slow! Spent 3 good hours there just to take my test.

The gentleman at the entrance was pleasant and carefully explained what’s to be expected to me.

The staff in the tent taking the details seemed okay but the gentleman who attended to me missed out key details for travelers - he didn’t take my passport number or even bother to ask how I’d want to have my result. They automatically assume everyone wants to drive in Accra traffic to East Legon to collect their results 😬. I had to enquire during the sample taking before I was given a form to fill if I wanted an electronic confirmation.

Also why do you bundle up all patients in a tent breathing the same air if you’re going to be so slow? Still baffles me for a supposed laboratory. They should know better.

If you are going there, factor in a long wait and request for an electronic result (pdf). You’ll be given a separate form for that.

Got COVID test done for my wife. It’s been two hours plus but the process is still on going. All patients for COVID Test are all bundled together in a closed room.

There is no direction and no process flow. It’s taking inordinate time. After completing the test it’s been 45 mins and we are in queue to make payment.

There is no urgency, there is no hurry. I think we will be here for another hour just to make the payment.

I had a covid test done for 480 cedis for an upcoming travel. I was informed the next morning that my test was +ve. Having been isolated for a few weeks before the test and with no symptoms, I had my doubt about the test. I re-tested at Akai clinic who have a more credible record and the test was -ve. I dont know what MDS is up to but their covid test is wholly unreliable. If you need a guaranteed test for travel, visit Akai Clinic

Mds-lancet is one of the fastest growing laboratory center that is helping people get their test conducted each day and night,now they have branches around the country so in case you need their service you will not have to come all the way to East legon branch that is the biggest place.working Hrs are from 7am to 8pm that's Monday to Saturday and Sunday is 9am to 5pm meaning that you can even go home and rest after church. Another good information to is that they now have a lot of customer service centers in there so you will not wait for long like other Laboratory centers then you are given a free ID card which will help you access their service on time.
