  Kumasi Girls' Senior High School is an all girls second cycle institution, basically an option 2 school located at Abrepo a suburb of Kumasi, run by the Ghana Educational Services (GES). In terms of academics the school has a quite number of excellence in the history of the Ghanaian education. Furthermore, the school has a name in athletes and sports as well. They always find themselves in the top six of the interschools and colleges athletics competition in the Ashanti region. The has fully equipped laboratory to carry out science experiments , a soccer field which serves as a venue for major secondary school soccer and athletics competitions.The school has played a major role in the country by producing notable alumnis to ensure a healthy and evil free society for the betterment of Ghana. The school admits fresh students at the beginning of each academic year through the computerised placement system used by the WAEC To place students who have finished the BECE at the Junior high school level. Both past and present students are known as Ohemaa (individual) and Ahemaa for mobs
