The best canopy walk in West africa with canopy over 40m high. A little hiking to the canopy but in itself a good exercise. Tree house village available plus hiking services. A place to be!
The park looks good, maintenance is regularly done according to tour guide & is visible when on the canopy walk. Wasn't able to see most of the animals , just a few birds. There's also an arts & crafts shop which has a little bit overpriced items.
Great day and great men
Nice place to visit.
Canopy walk is great! Restaurant is nice. Ghana artifacts are reasonably priced. Road to the park has greatly improved.
A.must do in cape coast. If leaving from ACCRA leave as early as 5am because it's a 4 hours ride. It's better to plan to stay a night or two that way you can enjoy all cape coast has to offer. It was scary at first but we got a hang of it. We did the canopy walk.Went the entire 7. The birds were chirping and it was beautiful. They have a smaller one for children less than 5 years old. Our guide was amazing too. Make sure you wear either walking or hiking shoes, you need water and comfortable sporty clothes.
Good to visit placevisit in early morning hours can increase chances of seeing few birdsit looks like because of human activities birds and animal are away from park area.
Place with lots of butterflies but again need to visit in proper time preferably morning hours.
Do not expect much from this place and do not compare with other parks and you will enjoy nature.
Refreshing. Totally enjoyed it and would recommend that every tourist in Ghana pay a visit to Kankum national park. Friendly staff. But heygo with extra money because foreigners pay a higher rate than locals. Better go prepared to avoid disappointments
It is a nice park where it is quite difficult to see animals (at least in my experience) . The walking on the forest bridge is amazing. Worth to see but do not expect a kruger park experience.
Amazing place to visit.
Tropical evergreen rainforest located in the Central Region of Ghana with a great diversity of fauna and flora
Great experience, made my holidays in Ghana a blast
It’s a nice place.
I enjoyed my time there.
ESPECIALLY the canopy walk. It’s fun but if you are afraid of heights hold someone please 😹
Just to avoid all the screams.
The gate fee is little too
Very interesting tourist site
A popular tourist site in, Ghana and AFRICA
Great hiking. The rope bridges in the canopy were wonderful. Great and knowledgable guide.
The place is very important and full of interesting things to see.
The definite highlight of my time in Ghana! The road there (during rainy season, end of june) was pretty rough. Kakum itself is small but beautiful, we stayed with a group in the tree house, which is a kids dream come true. In the early morning we did the canopy walk, which was amazing. Our local guide Richard was very friendly and dutiful.
It's always fun to do the canopy walk. Do not go during raining season because you might not be able to do the canopy walk. Keep in mind that the road to Kakum is horrible!
It a nice place everybody should go
Perfect and audacious for overcoming fear of height
It's an amazing place.
Walking on the canopy walkway it's superb!!!!
I really enjoyed it
A wonderful life changing experience for all visitors near of far. The canapy bridges are the main attraction. The food is good.
went to Kakum National Park with my cousin and father. I was a little taken back by the rope bridges at first, but then I couldn't miss the opportunity to walk across the 7 bridges.and WOW what an amazing experience it was.
I'm glad that I had a decent pair of shoes on, as flip flops would not have been suitable. Yes it rained a littlethe higher up we gotbut to be honest it was quite refreshing.
The toilets and other facilities available were very clean.
Be careful of the ants, there are giant ants that tend to crawl up your clothes and bit a few people in the most inappropiate places (",) just be sure to tuck your trousers into your socks after you have done the bridge walks.
