CRDF Ghana is a rural development NGO with a mission to contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals through catalyzing rural socio-economic development and environmental transformation. The organization is purposefully headquartered in Garu in the Upper East Region, Ghana, to reflect its commitment to rural development and the environment. Garu district, together with neighbouring Tempane, Pusiga, Binduri, Bawku and Bawku West districts, is located in the fragile Sudan-savanna ecological enclave which is characterized by worsening environmental conditions and increasing vulnerabilities of the populations. CRDF Ghana's areas of focus include agriculture, food security and agricultural value chains; sustainable livelihoods; climate resilience; peace and human security; and water, sanitation and hygiene.
