Centre for Generational Leaders, (CEGEL) is a youth-led non-governmental organization (NGO) registered with the Registrar-General's Department with its headquarters in Zebilla, Bawku West aimed at empowering rural youth and women for sustainable development. As part measures to empowering rural youth, CEGEL will launch a youth fellowship for junior high school graduates transitioning into second cycle institutions. The fellowship will be for a period of three years that will among other things; secure internship opportunities for the fellows, provide monthly responsive training during the long vacations and ongoing mentorship for the fellowship period and beyond. CEGEL will through a deserving process select between 21 and 30 fellows yearly within the district depending on the availability of funding and support from partners. For the women empowerment, CEGEL aims to provide skills training for rural women in the following fields but not limited to:- Digital skills- Seamstressing - Hair braiding- Making of beads and other accessories- Making of soaps, detergents and antiseptic
