Nice and cool
A fantastic abode away from home, great view and good cuisine
The food is good and I love the camping area
Nice place for a drink and great view of the beach
Food is tasty but slightly overpriced. The view on the bay in the evening quite beautiful. Restaurant is recommended nonetheless.
Simply awful: dirty, overpriced, bad good, rude and inexperienced staff, stingy owner
We stayed here as part of a 7 day surf camp package with Ahanta Waves
The pros
- Excellent location on the beach
- Wonderful views from the restaurant and nice spot to relax out front
- Nice well proportioned rooms
- The semi wild spot nose monkey
The cons
- Fan in room 3 was very poor, but it was supplemented with a free standing fan. The shower regularly got blocked.
- No wi-fi, although the owner said they were going to get it in the future.
- The sewer beside the inn was a bit smelly, but we didn't smell it from our room, and only faintly and very occasionally from the restaurant
- The included breakfast, although nice, was pretty stingy by Ghanian standards. You got the choice of an egg dish and some bread, but no spreads or fruit to go with it. If you wanted jam you had to pay extra. We got home made bread on a couple of occasions (which was delicious), but when the owner was away at her other property they served us basic bread from the market instead of the home made loaf.
- The owner was lovely but the staff weren't particularly friendly when compared to many other Ghanians we'd met during our holiday.
- The restaurant was quite expensive compared to other places in Busua.
Stayed January 2017, travelled as a couple.
Love the fact that it's just by the sea; offers you direct access to the shore, feel of the sea breeze and the townfolk.
Aside bedding, you are pretty much on your own to find food. Package does not include breakfast. You will have to pay separately for it.
Giving the fact that it was not a b&b, I think the prices should be reviewed downwards though it's moderate.
Was a moderate price for the rooms around, liked the fact that it was just opposite the sea. However, the trees have blocked the view, even for the two rooms that face the sea on the first floor. Didn't like that it wasn't bed & breakfast. And it was hard water — I didn't look forward to all the baths I had there.
Ok food nice service. Romantic setting.
