Lovely place in terms of location. Service is quite slow. Not a place to come if you’re a budget traveller.
I was hoping that the reviews about a clean beach were true. Unfortunately, plastic trash washes ashore constantly. When you’re in the water you’ll see plenty of trash. It’s sad that such a beautiful place is becoming just another littered area. It’s clean compared to other beaches in Accra, that are far worse, but that doesn’t mean it’s clean by the standard of true cleanliness.

I spent a day there with family and friends. The experience to take a canoe to cross to the beach was interesting. When we got there, around 10h30, fishermen were pulling out their nets and we did not know where to go to swim. Staff was not very helpful to guide us. We moved our stuff further away. There were places to sit in the shade (with plastic chairs provided on site) but very few tables. And I wish the installations were closer to the swimming area. I also wish that the fishermen would not leave their garbage behind when they leave the beach, as it ends up covered with algues and other unpleasant things. Food was OK. There were real toilets that were hard to flush but nowhere to wash our hands. This place definitely has potential but it remains limited for now. Still, it is one of the best beaches near Accra (although I prefer Kokrobite).

Love this place. Underrated beach. Probably the only clean and relaxed beach in Accra area.

Amazing place. The beach is lovely and the weather is cool. You get a boat ride to cross to the beach. Perfect for playing games and a weekend getaway. You can play football and volleyball here! They also serve meals and drinks close to the beach. Service is prompt!

Get away from busy Accra to this serene and neat beachyou get a great sense of being on a holiday and having quiet time, particularly with the short ride on a small powered canoe across a natural lake to the beach side. Quite a drive from town (Accra) though but sure worth it! I really love it!

Ghana's most beautiful beach. Private, quiet, serene, amazing! Most romantic place in Ghana ,The sandy beach and massive, cold waves are just what's needed on a hot, sunny summer..

I can't think of any reason why I should pay 15GH to enter. Drinks were not cold and very expensive, the food was tasteless, the service was average and the toilets were discussing. Luckily the beach and the sea were perfect.

Entrance fee at the beach is too expensive It's not a place for families to go spend quality time because you won't be able to take specially prepared meals to be enjoyed. Kebab and carbonated drinks which are the main things served there, ain't food. I give the one star for the somewhat clean environment. But what's a clean beach without people, families and the rest.

Nice and neat Beach, only you can't bring your own food.Very bad, I like my own cooked food And the food they sell here are so expensive. Monopoly I guess. You have to pay for the umbrella as well.

Great beach, unique experience of going across the lake to access it.
Bar is good, food is awful as it's not fresh. We tried fish which can find it easily in the surroundings, and while there's a grill there, we were told by management our fish was prepared 6 hours ago!!
It can get busy on weekends but if you want serenity go mid week.
They have a volleyball net and the sea is a little choppy at this area.
