Spent New Year's eve there and this place was absolutely amazing.
The level of service is VERY high, the staff was very friendly and generally it felt like the employees there REALLY wanted us to have a good time.
The fixed course dinner was very nice and having some wine by the fire place was a really nice ending to a great evening.
On the next morning my wife got a body message and they threw in a wine bath for her AND for me, free of charge.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Decent enough hotel/restaurant/winery, but the room walls are quite thin. Dogs barking combined with early morning work at the vineyard doesn't make for a late rise. Also, staff could be friendlier. Checkout clerk could barely be bothered for us to pay.

Schuchman is generally very charming and relaxing, though it's not the quaint winery it once was. Now with a pool and a poorly constructed mini golf course, the otherwise epic view is a bit blighted. The food has also gone somewhat downhill. Still, it's a luxurious experience and the staff give you their best.

Excellent hotel rooms, wine, food and staff. They were renovating some of the rooms and the swimming pool was closed during our stay, but the stunning view on our balcony really made up for it.
