  The renovated Samtskhe-Javakheti Museum opened in 2012. Archeological, historical, ethnographic, paleontological, numismatic, narrative, and architectural materials reflecting Meskheti historic events from ancient times to XX century are presented at Samtskhe-Javakheti History Museum.

  Really cool museum. Learn about the whole history of Georgia in a fun and informative way. Lots of ancient artefacts can be found here. It's a must see for anyone visiting Rabati Castle.

  Great castle. But when ee reached the history museum we were informed that the museum requires additional tickets. Huge lack of info in Georgia. So we had better not to re-climbe the very long stairs.
