  The entrance looks old-beautiful, but couldn't enter the monastery itelf. Besides nuns weee a little bit aggressive against the tourists. Still worth to have a quick look

  ნინოწმინდის მონასტერი არის ერთ ერთი უძველესი მონასტერი მობრძანდით და დაათვალიერეთ  ნინოწმინდის კომპლექსი მდებარეობს საგარეჯოს რაიონში, სოფელ ნინოწმინდაში, თბილისიდან 50-ოდე კილომეტრის მანძილზე. ნინოწმინდის კომპლექსის მთავარი ნაგებობაა VI ს-ის III მეოთხედში აგებული წმ. ნინოს ტაძარი. გადმოცემის თანახმად წმ. ნინომ სწორედ ამ ადგილას დაისვენა და მის საპატივსაცემოდ აშენდა ეს ტაძარი. იგი არაერთხელ გადაუკეთებიათ IX-XI, XIII-XIV, XVI საუკუნეებში. კარიბჭის წარწერიდან ვიგებთ რომ 1671 წელს ტაძარი განუახლებია ნინოწმინდელ ეპისკოპოსს – ნიკოლოზ ანდრონიკაშვილს.

  La Cattedrale Ninotsminda (575 circa) è forse il più antico esempio in Georgia di tetraconch, dal greco "quattro conchiglie", un edificio religioso con quattro absidi.

  Ninotsminda Cathedral is highly significant to the development of Georgian architecture, as it predates Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta, and served as a model for the development of the later tetraconch (four-apse) form.
