  An amazing, remote fortress, well worth the extra effort to visit. It is certainly one of the most memorable places one could visit. My friend who has been both to Mutso and Machu Pichu, likes Mutso better, so let that sink in.

  Amazing place, but the condition of Fortress is heartbreaking. If you ever get lucky to visit Shatili, which is pretty far from capital and hard to reach because of the condition of road, you must not miss an opportunity to see this place too. And after you have climbed down from Mutso Fortress, you should drink water right from the little brook, that flows right in the bottom of mountain. It's the coldest, the freshest and 100% natural water from the heart of the mountains. Love this place. Keep in mind that trips are available mostly in summer.
