Ride — free! — on the blue Peace Rock (mshvidoba klde) aerial tram and enjoy a view from just one of many view points around the Kvirila River gorge. If there's no attendant outside by the departure point when you arrive, step inside and look into the doorway to the right. They'll know why you're there. When they tell you, just walk onto the car. There's a limit of 4 passengers (maybe 5, if some are small).

Walk around at the top. To the right, there's a path leading to old coal car tracks still in limited use and a fenced-off part of the mining operation. To the left, leaving the car, you'll come upon views of the central city. Keep walking along the unimproved road and look for a metal stairway on the right. At the top, turn left, and you'll find your way to meadow with views overlooking the gorge to the south and east. Look for Mgvimevis Monastery to the east, and if you have time when you're back on the flat, head up the road find the stairway to the cave in which you'll find the monastery chapel.

From inside the building, there's also a tram running up the other side of the gorge toward the quaint and lovely village of Perevisa.

Absolutely amazing, one of the best cable cars we have ever ridden on. Just a little scary!
