მუზეუმის შენობა განთავსებულია რუსეთის საიმპერატორო ოჯახის – რომანოვების კანცელარიის შენობაში (ფსევდოგოთური სტილის არქიტექტურული ნაგებობა 1890 წელს ააგო გერმანელმა ინჟინერ-არქიტექტორმა ვ. შვეიერმა). ბორჯომის მხარეთმცოდნეობის მუზეუმი შედგება არქეოლოგიური, ისტორიულ-ეთნოგრაფიული, გამოყენებითი ხელოვნებისა და მხარის ბუნების განყოფილებებისგან. აქ დაცულია: უნიკალური ბრინჯაოს სამკაული და იარაღი (ძვ.წ II-I ათასწლეულები), მრავალფეროვანი ნუმიზმატიკური კოლექცია (ძვ.წ V – ახ.წ. XX სს.), რომანოვების პირადი ნივთები: ევროპული და აზიური წარმოების ჭურჭელი, ფერწერული და გრაფიკული ნამუშევრები......

Borjomi museum is one of the oldest in Georgia, first opening its doors to visitors in 1926.The building itself was constructed in 1890 and is unique both in its architecture and materials used. Today it houses over 36.000 items within four permanent exhibitions:

History and Ethnography

The Museum offers a full gamut of information on the town-from the flora and fauna-to documents testifying to the quality of Borjomi”s medicinal waters. Also displayed are fascinating archeological finds from the area,including many Stone and Bronze Age tools and artifacts , as well as ceramics dating from the 10th century .It also contains many of the 18-19th century glass, bronze, china,
wood-carvings belonging to the
Russian royal family.
