  The history of this small zoo dates back to 1898, when Batumi animal defence society founded enclosures for animals. In 1971 the wooden pens were replaced with more modern enclosures and the number of captive species was increased. The focus was to represent the Georgian endemic species: Caucasian brown bear, wolf, jackal, badger, fox and deer. Additionally different exotic animals and birds, such as monkeys, eagles, parrots and peacocks were added. Today the site spreads over two hectares. Another small zoo corner is located on Ninoshvili Street, not far from Sheraton Batumi Hotel.

  A little zoo. Only few animals (mostly monkeys).
  Pictures had zebras but we didn't see them. The zoo is to spend no more than 15-20 minutes.

  Small zoo, part of which is accessible without payment. There are some interesting animals here. The inclosures are in my opinion too small and not like the animals' natural habitat. It's interesting for young children. Right beside the 6. May park.

  Zoo which is very nice area. It is small in front of Nurigeli Lake in the city center not many animals but all the surroundings are very beautiful during any time of the year. Nice for walk and romantic purposes

  Nice place to go with kids. Entrance is only 2 GEL.

  This zoo needs to be developed, I think it was created in the Soviet era.

  Right next to the apartment blocks. Very few animals, the state of the building and enclosures is abysmally poor. Very sad experience.

  Небольшой, но очень приятный зоопарк. Животные выглядят ухоженными. Особенно привлекли детей клетки с кроликами, которых судя по описанию можно даже приобрести. Не знаю заинтересует кого-то это предложение или нет) И еще очень понравился разговорчиыый попугай, который переговаривался с детьми)

  Интересно зайти посмотреть. Детям точно. Кормили пони через сетку. В целом зоопарк небольшой.

  Очень непривычно видеть такой маленький зоопарк. Рядом находится озеро и небольшой парк, а сразу за стеной - жилой квартал. Необычно, но интересно, особенно для детишек
