Hiking, climbing, camping That is all possible in the area of ruined medieval natural fortress lost in the woods between the limestone cliffs When you are looking for beautiful natural scenery and easy hike not too far away from Tbilisi, Birtvisi is the option.

One of the most beautiful places in Georgia. Highly recommended. The walk is difficult up to the fortress so wear sensible shoes.

Near Tbilisi. Good place for climbers and for camping in forest. Easy-middle rank track till camping place. Spring water available march-july. Good view from Sheupovari tower and from Zedatsikhe. Prefered and popular seasons are spring-summer-autumn. I never have been in winter yet. So winter can be one of the option for someone.
