We just spent a month at the Hideaway Appatments and are very happy with our stay! The property is quiet, clean, well maintained and the view is spectacular!
Our hosts were outstanding! Friendly, knowledgeable, always ready to help and offer advice on where to go and what to do. They even organized activities for us and guests from the other 3 apartments. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting the other guests from all over the world. We would often hurry home after a great day at the beach or touring the island to sit in the yard with them and our hosts to watch the beautiful sunsets! What a show!
We will definitely be going back!

We stayed at Hideaway for 10 days in August.
- The apartments are clean and modern,
- The location, aside from being a picture perfect right on the water is walking distance to Grand Anse Bay and St. Georges,
- The hosts, Rob and Gayani, are happy, friendly, conscientious and responsive.
- And Hideaway is one of the best values for vacation apartments to be found anywhere in the Caribbean.
If you're planning to visit Grenada and you don't want just another sterile generic resort experience, Hideaway is the place that will become home away from home. I cannot recommend Hideaway enough. Definitely 5 stars!
We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every moment. Nice, clean, well-equipped apartment, with a splendid view of the sea. The property is on a main road, but at the end of a private driveway that afforded plenty of peace and quiet. We enjoyed the short walk to Grand Anse beach and several good restaurants. It was convenient to catch public vans on the road, and the managers were helpful in arranging a taxi when we needed that option. Easy access to St. George's. Great snorkeling area nearby. Cheerful and helpful hosts. We would definitely return here.
We (group of 4 )recently returned from Hideaway. Simple and clean apartments with good air-conditioning. While each apartment can sleep 4, there will be constraints in kitchen area if a lot of cooking is being done and in bathroom as there is only one, you will need to manage usage well.
I give 4 stars as service was very good but it is a small apartment on the border of far end of Grand Anse beach. You wake up with a nice sea view but there are some large rocks on the beach and a small area for bathing. It is however, in walking distance to the best part of Grand Anse where the large resorts are located or once you walk up the incline to the main road, transport is readily available (for EC$2.50 pp) for any part along main road/activities. If you are on a low budget and want basic comfort with easy transportation- Hideaway is recommended.

Hideaway was wonderful - to wake up every morning to the best view of the Caribbean and the popular Grand Anse Beach, which is a short walk, or if you are feeling too lazy for that, your own private beach is basically in your front yard. The grounds are meticulously groomed and the short trail to the beach maintained by two sets of gardeners during the week. The fourl two-bedroom apartments are spotless and cleaned with bed linens changed once a week. There is access to good WiFI, the kitchen is well equipped and the hosts readily available with help in any area. They have 2 German Sheppards, who are leashed at all times, well trained, sweet and a joy to watch interact.
The new owners are making great changes with plans for improvement in the future. They have installed modern air conditioning units in the bedrooms with plans for future improvements in the apartments, driveway and grounds. The AC is an extra charge but we didn’t find the need for it, preferring to keep the windows open to the trade winds, the sounds of the tree frogs and palm trees whispering. Gayani never failed to check on us frequently, surprising us with little treats, fig bananas from her yard, wonderful yams she just dug up or Roti skins she bought from a neighbor! She greeted us after our flight with a jug of coconut water & a basket of treats in case we were hungry. The other guests were from all over the world and we had fun getting together for cocktails to watch the sunset into the ocean every night.
The location is the very best, it feels secluded but everything is readily accessible. It is a short bus ride to the capital, St. George’s, and their famous markets. We would walk to Grand Anse Beach, cut across the main road to the IGA supermarket and take a taxi home with our groceries. Rob and Gayani can recommend anything from a catamaran Lobster Lunch, restaurants, excursions to the falls or the chocolate plantation, hiking trails, scuba diving, etc.. They will also send a driver to pick you up from the airport.
Transportation is your choice. We rented a car a couple different times during the month we were there. The taxi system is very reliable, and the local busses and drivers are an adventure in itself, something you do not want to miss. They never failed to stop when hailed even if you’re not at a bus stop. It is very reasonable to travel anywhere on the island this way and probably faster than driving yourself.
We loved it all, our hosts and their sweet son and will definitely go back just to sit on “our” balcony & watch for turtle heads surfacing as they come up for air!
Great place!
We stayed 10 days and actually still here for a few more. We have a sea view apartment and the view is awesome. The owners are great, very friendly, knowledgeable about the island and very helpful. The shoreline is rocky, which keeps it very private - no beach hikers passing through. A short walk - 1 minute - through the shoreline rocks - and you're at a small secluded beach that's very private. The apartments are also tucked back away from the road so you don't hear it and it's very convenient for catching the island buses to most areas of the island, which is an adventure in itself.
