Nice beach It's only 5 minutes from the airport, but you won't hear the planes. A 10 minutes taxi ride gets you to the capital, St. George's. Food is authentic creole, made in house.
Stayed at the Rex resort in September with my partner sort stay but very pleasurable. Would have given it a 5 star rating however the breakfast wasn't great at all, everything seemed to be over cooked in coconut oil. Not much variety and bacon was all burned. However the staff were amazing our room was absolutely beautiful we had a sea front view. Waking up and seeing the beach and ocean was wonderful, the hotels beach is perfect clean and just great. Everything but the breakfast was wonderful. Will be returning very soon.
Stayed here for my birthday in September and it was a great choice. We got to the hotel before check in and they accommodated us. The food and bars had many options as well as the afternoon entertainment was a lot of fun. The grounds really is well kept and omg the beach is really wonderful. We rented a car from the rental in the lobby and was very pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Grenada.
This was the worse experience I've ever had at an "all inclusive" hotel. Everything isn't all inclusive not the liquor or room service. In addition, the customer service was horrendous. They were rude and not very accomodating. We had to beg to have our rooms cleaned several times during my stay. The omletes chef was the worse. Stay away if possible this is definitely not the best representation of such a beautiful country. They have got to do better. I went in August 2017 for carnival. Did I mention that it's really far from the festivities.
It is wonderful resort. The food excellent. My hat off for chefs. You will love it. Place is clean. We enjoyed our stay.
Good value for the money. We attended the resort 02 October 2017. The grounds were well maintained, food was good, staff was great and the beach was spectacular. The rooms were a bit dated but the ocean view was breathtaking at times. Would recommend paying a little extra for the ocean view rooms.

The scenery is excellent if you are facing the sea and can come out of your room to the beach, the rooms are spacious and good. The hotel staff from what I saw were mostly young and could be a bit friendlier (could be experience). The food is good and the ambiance is excellent. I would recommend Rex.
One negative was the eating spot next to the pool area which overlooked the sea was good for the scenery but they were hordes of flies everywhere. So avoid that spot!
All in all Rex was good!
Peaceful environment with breathtaking scenery. Staff is friendly, courteous and always willing to assist.
We stayed there only for one day/night and I'm so glad we got to get out of there! The lady at the front desk never smiled and acted as if she did not like her job. The hotel lobby and main area is nice but the hotel rooms need a major update. The lights did not work, the door would not unlock from the outside, we had no bath linens in the room, the bathroom was not clean as it had dirt and clutter in the corners, killed three roaches in the restroom that evening, the TV channels were all wrong and only two of the channels worked. We could not go to the restaurant because we did not want to get locked out of our hotel room since the door would not open with the key, so we ordered room service (or atleast tried). They would not serve anything on the "in room" dining menu because they had cooked BBQ chicken and wanted to serve that. We woke up early the next day and had bumps along our arms. We weren't sure if it was dermatitis or bed bugs but we were all uncomfortable. The whole "service" industry in the Caribbean is horrible and takes longer than 1 hour for EVERYTHING. We will NEVER be back to the Rex or Grenada again.
The staff are great the food is good i had a wonderfull time. Arlene the manager was a great host nothing was a bother. Will come back

I love here, i will recomend this resort to every body. The great service, food, room, great people . The peaceful view is unbelievable. We are here third time and we plan to comeback to this resort again. Thanks
Fantastic location tired hotel. It's a shame really as it could have been great and it's so easy to fix some things. Like serving the cocktails with a smile and using something different than picnic kids cups. Or like giving us the option of a cocktail by the beach with relaxing music.
Lovely large beach for swimming and snorkelling from as lots to see underwater within 10ft from the shore!
Vast grounds and very comfortable bedrooms. Staff very friendly. Food is ok but could be more refined. If you want comfy cosy this is fine. If you want elegance and no large family groups - go to Sandals!
Hungry for a week, no air conditioning
The food here is very bad and very restrictive. Very specific hours to eat and issues with each food:
Breakfast: Food covered in flies, chunky milk, trays of rotting fruit
Tea Time - Bread with lettuce and mystery meat
Lunch/Dinner - generally a buffet rotation of the same or similar things every day.
If you want to go on the beach you get hounded by salespeople (not the resorts fault but resort staff stand right there and dont even offer to help)
Also, if you want an air conditioned location, your rooms AC will either work very poorly or not at all. You will need to go to the small TV room
The hospitality is always spot on. The view is great around the grounds. The food is lovely, just can't get enough. People when you land in sweet Grenada, make sure you get a room at Rex. Rex to the world.
Shower in my bedroom was too small, hotel ground is great, pool views are great. Good food, friendly staff alway on hand to help.
Great place to stay at for a week. Pretty much a private beach right outside and beautiful scene of the ocean. Came here as overfill for St. George University and had a fun time, but food was another matter. Not much around the area besides the hotel and nothing late at night. Also Wifi was spotty during peak hours.
