Stayed 1 night. Lovely place right on the edge of the sea, has it's own small beach. Just enough so you can get insurance the water to swim.
We did not have any of the spa treatments.
The room was beautiful. This is an eco hotel, the island doesn't have a fresh water supply , so economy of resources is expected. There was solar to heat the water, so if it ran out there was no more until it heated up again. Probably next day. We didn't have a problem with this as we showered early and went out for the night.
There was no AC or TV. There was a mosquito net over the large comfy bed. There was also kettle & tea/coffee making facilities. There was no milk or bottled water. We had to go back to town to buy water. The hotel could only sell us one small, expensive bottle. As they knew we were coming I would have thought they could have told us to bring our own water or have got some in.
Evening meal was excellent . We had a lobster to share. It was perfect.
Great views with lots of Caribbean charm. Not far from Town, plenty of local buses, but an easy walk if that's your thing.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant operational and delicious food. Please try the Chef's Air-dried Tuna, should be marketed.
Loved it!!! 😇
Goof food, a little bit pricey, but if you are looking for nice food at a chill spot with an immaculate view of HillsboroughGreen roof is right for you.
Great breakfast, nice location on the water, but rooms do not have AC, which made it pretty miserable.
I went here in low season and was the only guest in the Inn but I was treated wonderfully. The food was excellent - I had locally caught fresh barracuda fish for dinner made to my individual tastes. Breakfast was included and was plentiful, healthy and met my European tastes. My room had a fan, but no air con, but was situated in the most beautiful setting on a verandah overlooking the sea below. The Inn is owned and run by a young professional Scandinavian family who live upstairs but the staff are locals (I even felt comfortable asking for suncream to be put on my back!) I walked to the Inn from the ferry through the village/town of Hillsborough buying a large bottle of water in the supermarket on the way. I was offered a taxi ride but enjoyed the 20 min walk. I would definitely recommend the Green Roof Inn to anyone. Quality and value in a fantastic setting.
