"I'm currently in my room, it's 1am, the place is silent. I can only hear the wind whistling over the fields. The hotel is a stunning, olde charm farmhouse type of building, with beautiful gardens, friendly staff and amazing food. So much so that we ate here 3 nights in a row, I had the scampi twice it was so good!
Mid range price, and breakfast included makes it an affordable luxury stay.
Kid and dog friendly, so if you don't like dogs in the dining room, it's not for you. But for us, the more the merrier. We love dogs.
We will return with ours!"
"1st visit today for light lunch. Excellent service, very friendly staff, good food. Lovely gardens to enjoy a meal or drink outside. Great kids menu and even one for dogs. Immaculate toilets! Definitely well worth a visit. We will certainly be visiting again."
"Such friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Lovely room and great location. Easy to get into Whitby on park and ride or explore further by car or bus. Very relaxing few days. Highly recommended."
"A great hotel with some fancy rooms that are difficult to believe were once stables. The view from the terrace and beer garden are wonderful. And, in the beer garden, you can enjoy the company of many ducks, a moor hen or two, and a couple of peacocks.
The food is OK, and there are decent breakfast options.
Considering that you're just off the road, the rooms are quiet, and we slept well in a four-poster bed.
It's easy to get to and close to the P&R; so, no need to drive your car into Whitby to see the sights there.".
