In 1937 Bruno Dello Sterpaio opened this local, traditional fish and chips restaurant in the Nethergate, Dundee. This was a carry-out fish and chip shop that quickly acquired a name for supplying quality fare.
The shop gradually expanded to include some table service in 1953.
In 1966 he opened the present Deep Sea with the help of his sons Raymond & Lawrence. At present the restaurant is managed by Lawrence and his wife Dorothy.
The Deep Sea has always been proud to be known as an institution in Dundee and Tayside. With this pride we will continue to serve the highest quality food available!
