  You may notice a reviewer named Roan has left a star star review. This is a conflict of interest as Roan is a manager at the Co-op on Lothian Road, where my daughter received terrible service when she attempted to ask Roan for help finding a product, she was ignored and I sent in a complaint. It was later revealed that Roan, a store manager with this company was too busy playing Pokemon on his phone to pay attention to customers.
  
  Despite complaining about the five star reviews he leaves as a conflict of interest Co-op do nothing. While they allow their own staff members and managers to manipulate their ratings I cannot recommend any Co-op store, especially after the appalling service my daughter received.

  Good value, with focus on ethical products. Good range of gluten free items. Good section of fresh baked products and also fruit and veg. Convenient location. Seldom large queues. And Co-op has great locality scheme. What's not to love?

  Love the Co-op as it has a great selection of GLUTEN FREE options (my flatmate is gluten intolerant). The staff were busy but the security guard stepped in to help us find something, what a nice place!

  Excellent store always got what I want and need. Really good staff busy shop but has to be expected for location. Far superior range and products to Sainsbury's and really good meal deal for lunch time. Also does hot food. Overall good shop 👍

  This position is now reversed. The Co-op is now better than Sainsburys.

  Often a queue to get served here with not enough servers. Reasonable amount of choice but not laid out the best.

  There's always a queue at the checkout, as they don't have the self-service checkouts here yet. Save yourself some time and just go across the road to Sainsburys.

  This is a reasonably large store, bigger than the Sainsburys across the road, but I would probably opt for the latter - certainly for lunch options. There are some bargains to be had though (usually easily glimped through the window) so it can be worth a quick look. Good range of snack options, biscuits etc if you need something for the office/a meeting. Manned checkouts, open until 11pm and close to bus stops which can be useful if you are on your way home.
