What’s a spa at sea like? Gorgeous. Spas at sea are in prominent positions – normally at the very top of the ship. With the growth in the spa industry at large, the spas onboard are synonymous with resort spas on land – very spacious, with state of the art facilities. Our largest spas include Thermal Suites, Thalassotherapy Pools, Relaxation Areas, 20 treatment rooms that overlook the ocean, couple’s rooms, large fitness centres, barber shops, and hair and nail salons. Spa and team size are commensurate with the size of the ship. Our largest commercial ships at the moment carry 3,500 passengers and approximately 1,500 crewmembers and in 2009, Royal Caribbean is launching the largest ship to sail the seas. This mega ship will carry up to 10,000 passengers and crew combined. Spa team sizes vary from teams of five on our more exclusive ships to teams of 25 on our larger ships.
