  Terrible, wouldn’t recommend to anyone paid an extra £150 on top of our caravan price for an upgrade and this was anything but an upgrade. The caravan was clearly not cleaned before we arrived spoke to reception said they would send a cleaner round who ran a hoover over the floor and put the vile sticky drying rack in the cupboard rather than clean it. Have further complained and the best “good will” offer they can give is £50 off my next booking (I would NEVER book again).

  I am totally disappointed with this place. We came very late to our caravan. I couldn't believe what I have seen. I have never ever seen that filthy, disgusting caravan in my life (I and my family travel a lot around the UK and visit different caravans sites). Living room was absolutely dirty. Couches had massive stains, carpet was dirty with stains and hair on it, spiders and spider webs in many places, stools with stains, dirty cupboards, bathroom cabinet was broken with hair inside, mattress dirty. In the morning I went to the reception to ask for a different caravan. I got a key to check that it is OK for me. I went there and again there were stains all over the floor on the couches, shower didn't work how it should. I returned to the reception and asked for another caravan. I got two more keys to two caravans. First one was in better condition but still with stains and the smell was really bad and there wee also stains on the floor. On the decking a lot of bird poos. The other one was OK so we stayed there buy unfortunately I didn't check the mattress in the master bedroom before I made a decision to stay in that caravan. The mattress had a big bump in the middle of it. I decided to turn it around but unfortunately there was a massive wee stain on it. So we were not able to sleep on it. We run away from there a day earlier. We couldn't stay there any longer.
  Definitely we do not return there anymore. I do not recommend this place.

  Just had a weekend here with a few friends and was better than I could have expected. Beautiful location, fantastic friendly staff! The place we stayed was clean, roomy and perfect for our needs. You must go see the entertainment we had a great laugh. Special shout out to Fraser who was extremely helpful and checked in on us a few times!!

  Lovely site, close to beach and pretty central to walks etc, staff have all been lovely and pleasant. The caravan was clean, bathroom, kitchen etc, although it could do with a deep clean of carpets and soft furnishings as they were very stained, understandable that that kind of deep cleaning can't be done every time a caravan is vacated, drying time and such, this however will not stop us coming back as it's been a lovely stay 😊

  I have tried contacting Parkdean to raise a complaint about the cleanliness of the touring pitches. We left our pitch early as the litter walking from our van to the entertainment venue was disgusting. I saw multiple members of staff walking the same route and the litter was never cleaned up.
  I have stayed in a caravan on site previously and was very happy with my holiday. Staying on the touring pitches is not something I will want to experience again. The shower cubicles are tiny and I am a petite person. Struggling to maneuver in the cubical alone let alone with a 5 year old was not easy. Then the bad design of the shower water draining through the drying area? My daughter was not happy with her shoes getting wet while I showered. It was overall a very stressful experience and I was glad to get home.
  
  On the plus side washing up area was immaculate and smelt freshly cleaned. Staff were very helpful. Food from take out in the arcade was lovely even when they were very busy.

  Good holiday park offering very good facilities. Lovely friendly and efficient staff. It's a really beautiful part of the Country with stunning views. Great restaurants and cafes. WiFi not good even when top-up purchased from the owners.

  Southerness is a great wee place. People are friendly. Been coming here since 1971.However, caravan was stinking of wet dog. Seats were very stained, windows were covered in dried dog saliva. Cleaning not up to standard. Had to buy cleaning equipment to do it myself.Freezing cold. Gas fire not working and room heater not working. We lasted 3 days out of our week and had to leave. We would go back but not to a van that allows dogs.

  Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Friendly staff and lots to do. WiFi is reasonably priced but very poor signal and the landing page doesn't work properly so better to use it on tablets and laptops that don't have a sim in them. Location is lovely, very quiet though the Mermaid Bar is quite lively. Great for families with kids or a quiet weekend for grownups.

  A great place to relax and unwind - lovely area to explore and locals are really friendly and polite. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and go that extra mile to make your stay an enjoyable one. Food served in the attached restaurant is of a good standard and portions sizes are fair - prices are not over inflated like most caravan parks, entertainment was moderate to good. Swimming pool was great, consisting of a slide that extends through to the outside of the building and back in. Our only let down was the caravan itself - we stayed in the Teviot model which is one of the more 'luxurious' caravans available. Although it was fairly spacious and well furnished the caravan itself had a very worn and dirty feel about it. For example the seating area in the man lounge was extremely dirty and heavily stained as well as the carpet that was obviously the original. The stains were a mix of general dirt and under a UV light glowed up like a Christmas tree. Other items that let it down included damaged blind pulleys, missing edges from the worktop and surfaces, broken and unsafe stools, dirty walls, missing items from the inventory and high noise levels at night and early hours of the morning - not ideal for those who have young children wanting to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay but could have been better. We will be posting a video review of the park and caravan on Youtube so be sure to check it out.

  We have stayed in Southerness for a week and I can truly say it's horrible! When we arrived we got a filthy old stinking caravan. When we complaint at reception we found out there were other with similar problems. We got moved to other but similar old caravan. Never I was given the impression I was taken seriously by staff. Refund was declined. You are looking for a run down park, over priced old caravans with unhelpful staff? This is the place for you. For sure, we will never come back!

  The staff are so friendly and the meals at the restaurant were extremely good and well priced. Downside, we arrived Monday afternoon and on Tuesday morning reported to staff at the reception that the cooker was not working and we were asked if it would be alright for someone to see to it even if we were out, this we agreed to. We also mentioned that the caravan was 'very stoorie' (we gave it a good cleaning) Sadly cooker was never sorted and when we left on Friday we mentioned it again at reception. Glad there was good eating places on site (adding expense) as we could not use the cooker. Weather was brilliant though!!!

  Very disappointing review on fire vacaution , swiming pool area no back up plan, good thinking bar staff gave sheets out pool staff gave over there own shoes and jackets from customers placed over people from pool area , thinking there should be area out side where bathrobes kept and flipflop for this situation.
