  🎉Jackie celebrates 35 years at the practice

  A very familiar face to all who have ever visited the practice, Jackie Cree celebrates 35 years with SmilePlus Dental Care.

  It was a funny twist of fate that led to Jackie starting out at the practice. She first encountered SmilePlus whilst chumming an old boyfriend to get a filling, sitting in reception as they popped in after school! Little did she know that she'd soon start work there.

  ...

  The job was advertised in the Scotsman, as the then owners, brothers, Ewan and William Mason, sought a receptionist for the practice. A practice which had been in their family for over 100 years! A rich history, but always a forward thinking practice. Jackie remembers it being the first in Scotland to have an ultrasonic cleaner, the first to have fibre optic bulbs in the dental drills and early adopters of digital X-rays.

  While you will still often see Jackie in the front-of-house, her role has changed dramatically as has the industry. With implants, dental lasers, and diagnostic imaging now commonplace, and dentists like Fiona Davidson now embracing facial aesthetics, mean running a surgery is very different to the job she started 35 years ago. That said, fast forward 35 years, the old lab and photographs may be gone, but the building is still very much a busy practice with the staff and regular patients being Jackie's dental family.

  Thank you to Jackie for all you have done for the practice in the last 35 years. We don't know what we would do without her! Please do embarrass her by congratulating her on this milestone when you are next in.
