"Rocket’s casual all-day ethos and comfortable, lively vibe make it better suited to bonding than business, although there are no shortage of smartly cut suits dropping in for a drink or a quick bite. The decor is all swish lines and flashes of bright colour, with industrial fittings and decorative quirks such as plates lining one wall. The food has a fitting sense of riotous assembly – think smoked-trout mousse topped with red-pepper-and-herb relish, fried spicy baby squid, or fish-and-chip salad with rocket, gherkins, red onions, pickled vegetables and fried capers. Wines on the modest, well-informed list are refreshingly affordable, and the whole tried-and-tested package combines an upmarket vibe with an ‘everyday’ approach."
