Had to wait for chips and I only chose fish and chips because there was one waiting. it wasn't worth the wait. Very greasy, chips were undercooked - sat very heavily on the stomach. Have had much better elsewhere but maybe this is the best Kirkcudbright has to offer as the one with the best reviews was shut even though their signage indicated they shut at 21:30 and I was outside at 21:05?
