The idea of MTAE was to bring and share mainland European ideas about putting on gigs, being active in social spaces, and political awareness to the UK punk scene and hoping that we could make the world a little bit smaller, more cooperative and to increase our network of friends.

The Fest took place at the 1in12 Club because of its anarchist philosophies and ideas and its collective spirit.
